This comic is based on LARP (Live Action RolePlaying). Specifically, Curious Pastimes have been running the Renewal campaign since 1996. This campaign includes several factions, one of which is the Lions.
I’ve been playing the game since 2013, and this comic is essentially a history. I can’t exactly claim credit for writing it, because I’m just recording what other people have said and done, so it’s really the game team and players who have come up with the storyline. However, I have made a few changes, e.g. to improve the narrative flow or to fill in the gaps in my memory. In particular, this comic has an IC (In Character) perspective, so I’m trying to show what “really” happened, e.g. people will disappear when they teleport rather than putting their fingers in the air and sneaking away.
I’m running at least a year behind on current events; this is partly deliberate, so that I don’t undermine FOIP (Find Out In Play) for anyone who reads this comic and plays the game. I’ve focussed on the Lions, because that’s my faction, but I’ve missed out lots of things that happen when I’m not around. If you want to know more about this world then I highly recommend coming to an event and joining in with the game. If you do something cool, you may see yourself in the comic!

Basically, the normal “fair use” principles apply here. It’s fine for you to share comics with your friends, but I don’t want someone to mirror the entire website and load their copy up with ads/malware.

If you play the game, feel free to use my pictures of your character wherever you like, and you can email me for a better quality copy. If you don’t play the game, I personally think that it’s a bit creepy to wear someone else’s face as a mask. However, I recognise that lots of people disagree with me, and I’m not going to come after you.
